HomeBase Directory ("we", "us") runs the website at www.denverhomeservices.net, a directory that helps homeowners find local home service businesses. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

When you contact a business. If you fill out a contact form on a listing, we collect your name, email address, phone number, project description, budget range and preferred contact method, along with your IP address and the time of the request.

When a business claims a listing. We collect the owner's name, email address and phone number, and any listing details they edit. Card details are entered directly into a form provided by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers.

When you sign in. Business owners sign in with a one-time email link. We store the email address and session cookies needed to keep you signed in.

Automatically. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested). If you accept cookies, our advertising partner Google sets cookies as described below. We also record clicks on partner links, without linking them to you personally.

Business listings. Listing information (business names, addresses, phone numbers, websites, ratings) comes from publicly available sources. If you are a business and want your listing corrected or removed, contact us.

How we use information

• To send your request to the business you chose and email you a confirmation.
• To let business owners manage their listing and see the leads they receive.
• To bill business owners for leads, through Stripe.
• To prevent spam, fraud and abuse (for example, limiting repeat submissions).
• To operate, secure and improve the site.

We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

• The business you contact receives the details you submit in its contact form, so it can respond to you.
• Service providers that run the site for us: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database and sign-in), Resend (email), Stripe (payments) and Cloudflare (spam protection). They process data only on our behalf.
• Google, if you accept advertising cookies (see below).
• Authorities, if required by law or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

Advertising and cookies

We use Google AdSense to show ads, but only after you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services. To withdraw consent on this site, clear your browser's site data for this website and choose "Decline" when the banner reappears.

We also use essential cookies (for example, to keep business owners signed in) that don't require consent.

Affiliate links

Some links on the site are affiliate links. If you buy something after clicking one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

How long we keep information

We keep lead and account information for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, and then delete it. You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see below).

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to opt out of any targeted advertising, by emailing contact@denverhomeservices.net. Depending on where you live (for example, Colorado or California), you may have additional rights under state privacy law, and you may appeal if we decline your request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. Note that once a business has received your request, it holds its own copy, so you may also need to contact it directly.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls on our database. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will change the "Last updated" date above, and for significant changes we will provide more prominent notice.
