Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of HomeBase Directory (the "Site"). By using the Site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

1. What the Site is

The Site is a directory of local home service businesses. We are not a contractor, we don't perform any services, and we are not a party to any agreement between you and a business. We don't employ, license, insure or guarantee any business listed.

2. For homeowners

• Listing information comes largely from public sources and may be incomplete or out of date. Please verify licensing, insurance, reviews and pricing yourself before hiring anyone.
• A "Verified" badge means only that the business's owner has claimed the listing and we have confirmed they represent the business. It is not an endorsement or a guarantee of quality.
• When you submit a contact form, your details are sent to that business so it can respond. See our Privacy Policy.
• Using the Site is free for homeowners.

3. For businesses that claim a listing

• Eligibility. You may only claim a listing for a business you own or are authorized to represent. We may ask for proof and may reject or remove any claim.
• Pay per lead. There is no monthly fee. Each time a homeowner submits the contact form on your active listing, you authorize us to charge the card on file the per-lead price shown when you claimed the listing. Prices may change with at least 14 days' notice by email; continuing after that means you accept the new price.
• What counts as a lead. A lead is a submission of the contact form on your listing. Repeat submissions from the same email address to your listing within 24 hours are not charged. We use spam protection, but we don't guarantee that every lead will become a customer.
• Disputed leads. If you believe a lead is spam, fake or a duplicate, email contact@denverhomeservices.net within 14 days of the charge. If we agree, we'll refund that charge.
• Cancel anytime. You can cancel from your dashboard. Cancelling stops new charges right away and removes your saved card. Charges for leads already delivered are not refunded, except under the dispute process above.
• Your listing content. You are responsible for the accuracy of anything you add or edit, and you give us permission to display it on the Site.
• Lead data. Use homeowner contact details only to respond to their request, and handle them in line with applicable law (including anti-spam and telemarketing laws).

4. Acceptable use

Don't submit false or misleading information, impersonate anyone, submit fake leads, scrape or copy the Site at scale, interfere with its security, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend or remove access for anyone who does.

5. Third-party links and ads

The Site shows ads and links to other websites, including affiliate links that may earn us a commission. We aren't responsible for other websites or the products and services they offer.

6. Disclaimers

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't warrant that listings are accurate or that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HomeBase Directory is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any dispute, loss or injury arising from work performed (or not performed) by a business you find through the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

8. Changes and termination

We may change these terms; the "Last updated" date shows when. We may change or stop any part of the Site at any time.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Colorado.
